Can ISO 42001 Take Less Than a Month?
Yes, and no. Most companies require at least two months for implementation and certification. This is due to how they have to bring multiple corrective actions and work through changes or additions in their AI management systems.
The few companies we have been able to get certified within a month or a bit less are those that were already on their way to certification or built their AI systems while considering the standard.
This latter option is viable and smoother for companies that have not implemented or used an AI system. However, they are planning to do so. As a result, changes or adaptations are easier than trying to take continuous actions or making changes, which turns it all difficult when it comes to having a more balanced AI management system.
